Jeg er så uendelig glad for å kunne se! Det er en gave så mange tar for gitt, men 285 millioner i verden er blinde eller svaksynte - særlig i fattige land. Hele 80 % hadde ikke trengt å være blinde, og svært mange kan få synet tilbake gjennom en enkel øyeoperasjon som kun tar noen få minutter. Nå kan vi være med på å gi synet i gave gjennom L'Occitane og Norges Blindeforbunds iCare-prosjekt og solidaritetsmappe. Beauty-mappen består av håndkrem, shampoo, dusjolje og hudkrem i reisestørrelse. Den koster 189 kroner og kommer i salg i L'Occitanes butikker og nettbutikk 6. mai. En perfekt gave som gir god samvittighet!
L'Occitane startet å hjelpe synshemmede og blinde allerede i 1997 med punktskrift på emballasjen! I 2006 ble Foundation L'Occitane etablert, der ett av tre hovedformål er å hjelpe synshemmede. I løpet av 15 år har hele to millioner mennesker fått hjelp til å se gjennom Foundation L'Occitane. Visjon 2020 er en global allianse som vil hjelpe 25 prosent av de som er unødvendig blinde innen 2020. Overskuddet fra salget av solidaritetsmappen går til øyehelsearbeid og operasjoner for de som har mistet synet i Mosambik og Nepal.

I'm so incredibly happy for my sight! It's a gift so many take for granted, but 285 million people around the world are blind or visually impared - especially in poor countries. 80 % of these people don't need to be blind and so many of them can get their sight back with just a simple eye procedure - taking minutes only. Now, we can give people their sight back through L'Occitane and Norges Blindeforbund's iCare project and Solidarity Beauty Bag. Inside, you'll find hand cream, shampoo, shower oil and skin cream in travel size. It costs 189 NOK and will be sold in L'Occitane's stores and webshop from the 6th of May. L'Occitane startet to help the visually impared and blind already in 1997 by using Braille on the packaging! In 2006, Foundation L'Occitane was established, where one of three main goals is to help the visually impared. During the last 15 years, two million people has been given help to see though Foundation L'Occitane. Vision 2020 is a global alliance that wants to help 25 percent of the people that are unnecessary blind within year 2020. The profits from the sale of the Solidarity Beauty Bag will go to eye health work and surgeries for the visually impared in Mozambique and Nepal.
