Shades of nature: Nordic Moods wallpaper

The four designers in Scandinavian Surface create beautiful wallpapers inspired by Scandinavian nature. Since 2007, they've collaborated with the renowned wallpaper producer Photowall. Together, they now launch a brand new collection, Nordic Moods, with seven different and evocative motifs. Polhem PR invited to a launch breakfast on Wednesday 14th of October where the press saw tidbits of the wallpapers. The event was held at the showroom of the advertising company MK Norway in Oslo.

The Scandinavian Surface designers are fascinated by structure, colors and shapes from Nordic nature. They also get inspired by art and architecture. Structures like metal, wood, threads and concrete are often placed in 'filters' over a photography, of a Nordic landscape, for instance. Lost Diamonds is a modern sidetrack from the motifs of nature. Diamonds are raining from the sky! The glamorous and geometrical gemstones are a vivid contrast to the rough background color. Scandinavian Surface means that a wallpaper should open a room, not shrink it. Ambience, colors and depth are therefore key. Scandinavian Surface has made wallpapers for several projects in Norway, especially health buildings - for instance Haukeland University Hospital and St. Olav’s Hospital.

Photowall prints by order only, so they have nothing in storage. In spite of this, they deliver the products within three business days. Photwall handpicks motifs from all over the world and are constantly looking for new designers to collaborate with. Photowall's represented in 13 countries and has their factory in Stockholm, Sweden.

The seven Scandinavian Surface wallpapers are sold exclusively at Photowall.com. The price is 415 NOK per square meter.
