MARKUSKIRKEN / SAN MARCO CHURCH:

Husk å dra inn i kirken mellom klokken 11.30 og 12.30, for da skrur de på lysene så hele kirken lyser av gull (mosaikken består av ekte gull). Hvis du besøker kirken utenom dette tidspunktet virker det veldig mørkt. / Make sure to visit the church between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm when they're turning on the lights so the whole church is bathing in gold (the mosaics are made with authentic gold). If you visit the church at another time of the day, it will appear dark.

De ekte bronsehestene fra Konstantinopel som før sto over inngangen til Markuskirken. De er trolig fra det andre århundret. De står nå inne i kirkens museum og har blitt erstattet av nye kopier. Betaler du 5 euro for museet får du også tilgang til kirkens balkongen med fantastisk utsikt! / The authentic bronze horses from Constantinopel that previously stood above the entrance to the San Marco church. They're thought to be from the second century. They now stand inside the church museum and has been replaced with replicas. If you pay 5 Euro for the museum you will be granted access to he balconys with an amazing view!

Klokka tolv svinger statuene på toppen seg og slår i bjella. / At noon the statues at the top swing and strike the bell.

Dogepalasset / Doge's Palace

Sukkenes bro der fanger ble ført fra Dogepalasset og inn i fengselet og så lagunen for siste gang gjennom gittervinduene. /The Bridge of Sighs where captives where taken from the Doge's Palace and into the prison and saw the lagune for the last time.

Markusplassen / San Marco square - by night!

Det er svært romantisk på Markusplassen om kvelden. De ulike kafeene har egne orkestre som spiller live. / It's very romantic at the San Marco square in the evening. The different cafés have their own orchestras playing live.
