Copenhagen Fashion Week: Supersonic SS 2013

The silhouettes and colors were either classic and neutral or futuristic and supersonic. The designers displayed their SS 2013 collections at Copenhagen Fashion Week from the 8th to 12th of August. Anne Sofie Madsen used shapes of bones and skeletons. She mixed them with painted prints and colored fringes. The Norwegian designer Helje Hamre kept the expression simple, but with high quality fabrics and tailoring.

Celebrating Norwegian love and culture

The Butterflyshow has launched a jewelry collection with a pendant, cufflinks and two different rings. The designer, Vanessa Gunnestad, is inspired by her personal belief, but also a wish for more solidarity, greater commitment for each other in Norway and greater distance to the criticizing «Law of Jante». Her collection is also a tribute to the love that was reborn after the terror attacks in Oslo last year.

Stunning summer beauty from Yves Rocher

I´m testing products for the lovely beauty brand Yves Rocher. This summer, I´ve tested their self-tanning products (read the test here), which works impressingly good. At the other half of this joyful summer, their test products are two-colored bronzer powder, eye pencils in black and turquoise and dry tanning oil.

Top trends fall 2012

1. Baroque
Balmain and Dolce & Gabbana sat the standard for this beautiful and yet mysterious trend. The patterns, flowers and colors are inspired by the art and architecture of the 1600s and 1700s. The barouqe pattern is visible with several other designers as well, such as Stella McCartney, Marni, Marchesa, Ralph Lauren and Lanvin. The flowers look like they´re  picked straight from an antique painting.

Laveria: Love for lashes

Beauty and fashion are best friends. In Oslo, women can choose from a variety of beauty salons and mini-spas. Maybe you need to trim your eyebrows, because you feel the tweezers don´t do it well enough? Or maybe you want to avoid the everyday application of mascara? I went to Laveria Clinic in Kirkeveien 114 in Oslo, very close to Ullevål Hospital. It´s actually possible to park your car in the area for free, and the women who greets you there are both beautiful, kind and skilled. Beauty and wellness are written all over them.
